Nikolina Lončar won the Miss Congeniality Award

Nikolina Lončar from Montenegro won the Miss Congeniality award. The Preliminary Competition show was took place on September, 8, at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo, Brazil. . This is the first tiem Montenegro won this title.

Miss Universe candidates took part in a rehearsal open for the media held at the hotel Hilton Sao Paulo on Friday. Present at the rehearsal were Miss Universe choreographer Michael Schwandt, and local choreographer Paula Peixoto.  The beauties will keep on learning the choreographies they will show on stage during the live telecast on September 12th.

The 60th anniversary of the Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the Credicard Hall, in São Paulo, Brazil on September 12, 2011. Ximena Navarrete of Mexico will crown her successor. 89 contestants are participating in this year´s pageant, surpassing the previous record of 86 contestants in 2006.

9/03: Runway Show at The Week, the biggest Gay Night Club in Sao Paulo

9/04: Visit to Vila Maria Samba School

9/06: Personality Interviews Group #1

9/08: Media Interviews / Preliminary Competition

9/09 – 9/11: Rehearsals

9/12: Dress Rehearsal (2 pm) / Live telecast (10 pm, local time; 9 pm EST)

Road to Miss Universe 2011:

A group of Miss Universe 2011 contestants were invited to visit the Pacaembu Stadium and played a soccer match there under the coaching of Brazilian soccer player Cafu. The beauties were divided in two teams: The Golden Girls and The Glamazons. The final score: The Golden Girls won by 3-0, with Miss Costa Rica scoring twice, and Miss Brazil scoring once.
